OK Steve, You win. There were tech warnings!

You are concerned about the quantity of warnings. I am not worried about warnings from stocks that are already down huge percentages---especially when they are small players.

I also don't feel a high profile profit warning will necessary mean the market goes down. The market has already hit so many companies. Investors are really interested in how things are going in January and beyond. If computer sales were a disaster in December, is there a possibility that January is seeing a bounce---that is what the market will be interested in.
I suspect that if December was truly a disaster, January could be a pretty good month for PC sales. That is why I don't care whether Compaq misses the number or not but what they have to say is the real key, IMHO.

IMHO, the December quarter has already been written off.
