Victor: The bullishness does not square with the facts -- the rate cut says the economy is in really bad shape. There is some wishful thinking among the bulls. The Fed does not have a magic "shot in the butt" which cures a sour economy. The shocker is how fast the economy slowed -- and energy plays a role here. If the dollar falls we could be looking at stagflation -- not exactly prime investing conditions.
