I think they may be getting a sales organization together. What I have heard is that the market for graftcyte (TM ) may be about $10 million per year- 200k transplants times ( say ) $50 each.

Minoxidil doesn't do what their stuff does, so they have no real competition in this area. Competitive and Medical-legal issues may force all the transplant surgeons to use the stuff. So at least they will have some sales. BTW, supposedly, the way things are usualy evaluated in the drug trade, an FDA approval is worth three times annual sales. This would make Graftcyte worth about $30 million. But the market currently evaluates it at zero. Interesting <G>.

You are right about teaming up with a major medical company. OTOH, there aren't all that many transplant docs and they all take the same journals ( cutting advertising costs ), Some specialty medical equipment makers sell to this group just this way. So it may be possible to market graftcyte themselves. Perhaps this is what is going on.
