SeaView's Taiwan contract to exceed $80 million
St. Petersburg-based SeaView Video Technology Inc. today announced an $80-million order from Logis-Tech Inc., an Alexandria Va.-based partner that represents SeaView to the Department of Defense.

Logis-Tech is using SeaView's IRFS system and SecureView products on a project in Taiwan. SeaView will receive an $80-million order to provide cameras, IR floodlights and control CPUs, said Logis-Tech director of government marketing, Frank Travis, in a written statement.

In other news, the company hired George S. Bernardich III as chief operations officer. Bernardich recently retired after 28 years with the JC Penney Co. Inc. Most recently, he was appointed by Chief Executive Officer Jim Oesterreicher to spearhead merchandising projects at Largo-based Eckerd Corp.

A chief financial officer has been chosen as well, but the company did not release details.

SeaView Video Technology Inc. manufactures, distributes and sells marine and security-related video camera equipment for recreational and commercial customers worldwide.
