Hi Tejek, RE: "What did you think of Intel's new appliance that downloads music from the net? ...but the price has to come down."

Better price than those seats.

RE:"I can see kids really getting into it."

The folks that graduated last year are *really* into MP3. It's so neat.

I personally don't have the patience to download music to a MP3 player, so I prefer to hear it on-the-fly by simply tuning into the Internet and listening to streams of music. Live365.com plays rock that I've been listening to, but I'm always keen on learning about other new music sites and welcome suggestions. I prefer to listen to music over the Internet than radio because I get to learn who the singer is (singer's name is supplied by text) and the name of the song and I also may select what I want to listen to. Unfortunately, not enough radio stations have migrated to the Internet yet.

Contrary to me, most folks I know that graduated last year prefer to download to an MP3 player so they may carry their music wherever they go. (I seem to be always working at my desk, so maybe that's why I don't quite have this need for portable music).

The other evening, around 7 pm, we tuned into some Internet music and were "jamming it" at work, which was a lot of fun. I work with a fun group. Our marcom manager is always up on the latest and one of our engineers is always up on the latest media. We're able to bring our network to its knees. Probably time to upgrade it.

Regards,
Amy J
