My newest vehicle is a '97. Don't plan on buying any new ones any time soon either. I've only bought 1 new car in my life- and it was Japanese. Used cars are a much better deal. Why buy the IPO, when you can get the stock so much cheaper a couple of years later. <g>

You're right, most Americans already have newer ones. You ever been to Japan? There is no such thing as a beater or junker there. From my understanding- the government makes it economically difficult to keep an old car running by enforcing emission and other laws that require them to buy new ones every few years. I wonder if we're heading that direction?
