Thank you Eric for the links. Its a pleasure to debate with a guy like you who comes with the facts, for a change, not like "its there on the web go and search for it yourself" (no names mentioned but it was that carranza6 guy).

So the question was whether there is an N admission about the need for a Q agreement or not. After listening to the N info meeting recording I must admit there were too many ums and errs for my comfort (I´m speaking from a position of a Q sceptic).

However, there is no admission. They are confident that they will reach an agreement sometime in the future. There is no hurry.

Alcatel and Siemens seem to be sitting on their hands also.

What are all these guys waiting for?

The circuit switched WAP has not been a commercial success yet. GPRS is still way behind its commercial take-off, even the phones are not out yet en masse. EDGE is in the distant future.

So is it only a waiting game?

If so, why? Is there an expectancy of current or future leverage i.e. is Q´s IPR position on WCDMA not unassailable?
