FEATURE IN TWO NEW
PCS

( BW)(IOMEGA)(IOM) Sony inclues Iomega Zip drive as a standard feature in two new PCs

Business Editors & Hi-Tech Writers

ROY, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 2, 1997--Iomega Corp. today announced that Sony
Information Technologies of America, a divisional company of Sony Electronics, will include the
Zip(TM) drive as a standard feature in its PCV-130 and PCV-150 computers, also announced
today.

Sony's new additions to its family of creative entertainment PCs, featuring MMX technology will
include pre-installed digital imaging software for a Sony DSC-FI digital still camera, offering
customers the ability to capture photographs and transfer them to their PC. The digital images can
be used to create personalized digital photo albums and greeting cards, which can be stored
directly on Zip disks.

The built-in Zip drives and Zip disks enable customers to maximize the multimedia capabilities on
their PCs by transporting, sharing and storing digital imaging files, Internet downloads and audio
and graphics applications.

"Our new computers offer a complete digital imaging and creative home computing and
entertainment package to a broad range of consumers," said Tac Sugiyama, director of marketing
for PC products, Sony Information Technologies of America. "The Zip drive is a perfect
complement to these systems, enabling our customers to truy maximize the potential of digital
imaging."

Sony announced that the Sony PCV-130 and PCV-150 computers are expected to be available
in July at retail outlets in the U.S.

"Sony is making it possible for computer users to enter into a new computing paradigm that
combines digital imaging, audio and video with traditional applications," said Andy Grolnick,
general manager, Zip OEM business at Iomega.

"Because the traditional floppy can not handle these applications, the built-in Zip drive enables
customers to unleash the potential for creative multimedia on the PC."

With more than six million Zip drive shipments worldwide, Iomega's Zip disks provide 70 times
the capacity of traditional floppy disks at 20 times the speed. They also provide consumers
unlimited capacity in 100MB increments, increased flexibility and a built-in backup system. Fast
enough to run applications and multimedia, the Zip drive brings a new dimension of flexbility to
today's powerful MMX, Pentium and Pentium Pro-based personal computers.

Zip drives and Zip disks are available through VARs, resellers, system integrators, distributors
and at retail. Iomega's Zip drive is also available as a standard or optional feature in many
computer models from top desktop computer vendors worldwide including Apple, Compag,
Dell, Gateway, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Micron, Motorola, Packard Bell NEC, Power
Computing, Sony, UMAX and Unisys.

Iomega Corp. provides personal computer storage solutions that help people manage their
computer stuff -- anywhere. These solutions include: Zip drives and disks; Jaz one-gigabyte
drives and disks; and Ditto tape backup drives and tape cartridges. Used in homes, business and
education, Iomega storage solutions are available through computer retail stores, resellers, major
