Besides .. is it too much of a stretch to tie the Fed action in with a derivative mess given todays economic numbers weren't as bad as some feared ??. If there is a derivative problem ... the domino effect could be pretty awful ... and the numbers considerable.... and would also explain the Fed's action in lowering the discount rate by another .25bp.

This situation is a big gamble at this time ... and I for one think the risks are too high.... especially given the sensationalist type of journalism here on the West coast.

Still ... then again ...I'm not much of a gambler ... LOL

P.S. Another besides ... who knows what earnings warnings there will be tonight ... Friday nights are considered prime for high-profile companies I believe ??
