The interesting part about the Docomo announcement is that they were teaming with Sony and Matsushita for the service....but it doesnt look like the first handset uses the Memory Stick.

If anyone can read Japanese here is the announcement from the Docomo site...

More importantly....here is a picture of the phone and memory card. It is tough to see the details but it looks like it says Panasonic and has a big SD on it. Does Sandisk have any agreements with Panasonic?

EDIT....Going through the archives it looks like Panasonic was one of the companies that helped design the SD standard. Would Panasonic owe a royalty to Sandisk?
