Good thread...

In much of financial history bandied about showing equities outperforming other assets including T-Bills and CD's regulation Q held bank rates artificially low allowing banks a guaranteed source of cheap funds. As we saw in the early 80's these rates CAN now move with the market and afford some protection to the ravages of inflation which we will see again if we fall into recession and the politicians pistol whip Greenspan into and even easier policy than we've been having.
