asiaweek.com ARMS DEALER AND BUSINESSMAN, Adnan Kashoggi, said to be in Paris with no plans to return to Bangkok, faces charges in connection with Thailand's Bangkok Bank of Commerce scandal. According to the Economic Crimes Investigation Division, a warrant for Kashoggi's arrest was issued March 14 on charges of embezzling about $64 million from the bank prior to its virtual collapse last year. Kashoggi, who holds a Saudi Arabian passport, was quoted by the Saudi daily al-Eqitsadiah as saying he had started "preparing a detailed memorandum, including proposals for an amicable settlement to the issue."
