I think the VCs, who may gotten their shares for as little as a nickel and rarely for more than 50 American cents, sold off a long time ago as did the the brokers and IBs who underwrote the IPOs. The days of VCs holding on for the long term are over. They knew that they were financing companies with little in the way long term prospects and were just out to make a quick buck at the expense of the retail investor.
