Boxlight announces exclusive distribution agreement with Projectavision

Boxlight Corp. today announced that it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with New York-based Projectavision Inc. (Nasdaq: PJTV), to secure commercial sales and distribution rights to the Projectavision Digital Office Theater.
Boxlight will begin shipping the new multimedia presentation system, the Digital Office Theater, on June 6. Under the terms of the agreement, Boxlight will implement an aggressive marketing plan, selling the Digital Office Theater to the commercial market, including international sales expansion.

The Digital Office Theater is a convertible front and rear projection television with a built-in tuner and also acts as a PC presentation monitor. It is the first rear-projection presentation monitor with a removable multimedia projector which can be used separately for large screen multimedia presentations. It is also the first presentation system to employ the new 2-chip DLP (Digital Light Processing) technology from Texas Instruments.
The cabinet, screen and projector combined makes an attractive multimedia and presentation center for virtually any office setting. The Digital Office Theater's removable projector allows for mobility and large-screen use of the projection system in conference rooms and auditoriums. Set-up is simplified using the on-board control panel and included infrared remote control. Time, channel and a full menu of functions are easily managed through the remote.

Convertible Projection
When used in rear-projection mode, the Digital Office Theater provides a 60" presentation monitor for large screen viewing of television, video, computer or Internet presentations. For larger audiences, users can simply remove the projector from the cabinet for use as a front screen projector with variable image size capabilities ranging from 10" - 260" (diagonal). A 2:1 ratio zoom lens is included for use in front-projection mode.
State-Of-The-Art Image
The Digital Office Theater incorporates a 2 chip DLP projection system from Texas Instruments, combining mirrors and color filters at each pixel to give presenters crisp images with 300 lumens of brightness. When used in computer mode, the projector provides true 800 x 600 SVGA resolution and a color palette of over 16.7 million colors, ideal for many of the popular Windows 95, Windows NT 4.01 and System 7.x presentation applications. The projector uses a 100 watt, short arc, metal halide, user replaceable lamp with a 6000 hour average life (over 5 years of normal use).
Full-Range Audio
The Digital Office Theater comes with two external full range 20 watt speakers providing clear, high-powered stereo sound for large and small audiences. For increased sound capabilities, an internal full range 3 watt speaker is mounted into the projector, and the system also allows users to patch into a larger stereo system with right and left stereo inputs and outputs.
Compatibility
Composite and S-VHS, along with computer and AV cable inputs, allow the addition of audio and video from VCRs, laser disk players, camcorders and computers for increased presentation capabilities.
