A.L. It has been awhile since I reread this thread header, written in May 1996. It says: "And should CDMA were to overtake TDMA, you can bet Ericsson is ready for it. With the highest R&D spending in the industry and key patents on CDMA tecnology, Ericsson is just as well positioned as anybody, including Qualcomm, to profit from CDMA." Final numbers for the year are not in, but I think CDMA displaced TDMA as the dominant technology in North America, in either November or December. Has Ericsson released a CDMA handset in the Americas yet? - Eric -
