More potential competition: it seems VRTX is also looking at sepsis indications for their ICE inhibitor (developed initially and primarily for arthritis). This is preclinical. My understanding is that this is not an attack on the disease-causing organism but in some way helps the body's defense mechanisms. So this could be complementary to MCDE's programs, as well as/instead of competitive. vpharm.com PLS
