And so, we were just going over our itinerary, making sure all the tickets' transfers, rentals, etc. are there.. for a trip that will take us across the international date line at exactly the same time that GWB is innaugerated as our President.. We will be in that never-never time zone, like what day is it?? .. when we are here and but should be there.. Well the trip is only 14-18 hours but it takes 2 days.. So what gives ??
Like GWB.."What gives?? Where am I Daddy??", "Well, you are now President, Son".. "That's good, I thought I was back at Yale.." .. "Prez of the student body?" "No Son, prez of the whole USA" WOW!!, let's party...
And I thought, that's OK, we will survive, "Stayin alive"
for four years, but hoping the clock isn't set back too many times, like you do when you fly across the dateline, on IMPORTANT ISSUES like RIGHTS.. women, minority, personal and environmental, etc. for example.. We will see, maybe I'm wrong about my perceptions.. I am wrong a lot. but if I am, I am willing to change my mind... I hope GWB and his people will do the same, if they see they made a mistake.
And speaking of survival, we explore the Herbert river area, where the current "Survival" was taped.. Not that far west of Cairns, according to the map.. Maybe it's tough, I don't know.. But with a camera in your face, it probably is... But just guessing, it's not that tough.. maybe for the pretty faces it is... No tougher than here, for some under-prvileged, not-pretty and wanting. Maybe again, I am wrong, I hope so.
