excerpt from epoch research report

In June 1999, AOL launched InfoSpace's classified advertisements product, ClassifiedPlus, and made it available on AOL, AOL.COM, Digital City and Netscape's Netcenter. With ClassifiedPlus AOL's users can purchase and post classified advertisements on any of the above sites. ClassifiedPlus represents America Online's effort to enter into the lucrative U.S. online classified advertisement market which Forrester Research expects to reach $1.5 billion by 2002. In return for hosting the service, America Online pays InfoSpace quarterly cash fees and a percentage of all classified advertising and transaction revenues.
