Victor: The Fed could cut at any time. There seems to be some assumption around here that another sudden and dramatic move by the fed will reassure the market. But the market is spooked by such actions. I spend some time in the water with sharks -- nothing spooks me more than somebody pointing behind me and saying "hey, what's that?". The Fed spooked the market this week. Far from being reassuring, another sudden move would be a sign for everybody to get the hell out of the water until we find out what else might be in the water with us.
