FEAR will drive the stock market in tailspin.... GO BUY STOCKS NOW!!!

How about... "Go buy stocks after the tailspin"?

I still think there is substantial downside ahead. Most people I know have moved from extremely bullish, to the attitude of "I guess I will just hold on and hope it goes back up." For many investors all the recent carnage has only brought their portfolios back to October 1999 levels and hope remains. Once they start seeing more potential losses ahead, this misplaced(?) hope may drive them to sellers as the fear of losing it all sets in. There needs to be a big panic-selling move down, followed by a relatively long period of consolidation at a significantly lower level before I think stocks can rally in a meaningful way. That is when I would prefer to get back in, at the point when people hate U.S. equities.
