Poor Alec! Self-imposed exhile to France! Tsk, tsk. I presume he's making a clean break by: 1) Renouncing his US Citizenship; and 2) Selling all his property in the US, and repatriating all his assets to France.

Anything less would open him up to criticism as a hypocrite who is merely taking this opportunity to take a European sabbatical. He really needs to make an unequivocal statement to have any credibility at all. Simply moving to France doesn't cut it.
