I played a PS2 in a shop one day before Christmas, and I didn't find much interesting about it. Well, graphics was nice and fast, but the gameplay was about the same as on many PS1 games.

Maybe it was the wrong games, but on the other hand: One of the most played internet games on webcafes is still based on a several year old game: HalfLife. Old technology, but the game "Counter-Strike" seems to be very fascinating for many kids.

I think the main key here is that Counter-Strike (CS) is played against other people via the internet. With more and more people getting ADSL and other fixed access to the internet, this becomes more and more important. I like very much that the X-box has Ethernet built-in...

If the X-box is cheaper than a corresponding PC, and provides full internet access and gaming possibilities together with DVD playing (regionless?), then it should succeed to sell 15-30 million units. But MSFT wants customers to buy games, and many netcafes in our region do not buy many games any more, because CS is the only thing kids apparently want to play on a cafe.
