I use 3 Moving averages, the same as in the chart. 5e/8s/50e. I added the 50 so i would always be going with the longer term trend. If the 5/8 ma's are below the 50 ma,
i take ONLY short signals based on the original BTT-MAX method. If the 5/8 ma's are above the 50 ma, i take ONLY long signals as based on the original MAX. Also, i always place real stops. Two types of stops for me. One i call the "Initial stop", which is just a stop placed either on the high or the low of the prior bar based on if i was long or short. Other is still in the process of being perfected. At this point, my hard stop is a trailing 3% from last low. Might be better out there, but its where i am now.. and its working for me.
