Mucho Maas - I don't think this is an ailing confined to "bulls". So few people understand a company's books they just look to the bottom line and other sound bite statistics. Bulls focus on "pro-forma" numbers, plus whatever the Vested Interests want them to focus on. Bears tend to look at things like GAAP earnings reduced by non-cash charges and gloat how profits are low or negative. This is just as foolish. It's harder than most people think to do proper analysis and get beneath the surface. Easier to listen to the soundbites, hang on and hope. That way it will be the analysts, touts, market makers and so on who are at fault if you lose money. Self preserving. John.
