CJ:

A relative of mine made the unfortunate mistake of buying ftu in latter part of 1998 somewhere in low 60s. And then promptly held on while it dropped into twenties. At that point he sold. Ouch! If I recall, didn't the ceo of ftu leave the company within the past year? (Health reasons?).

In any event, ftu was a train wreck. Yea I know, it sounds like cpq. However, if you could only buy one, which do you favor - ftu or cpq? The fact that various analysts keep pointing at cpq as "the turn-around story" of this year (and last) doesn't mean much anymore. But then I don't know that ftu's story is much better.
