Richard, I've noticed 2 signals of big moves - either a dead quiet thread, or one like this has been the last week where all kinds of posters come out of the woodwork. I've been long gold because I figured eventually the world's financial situation would stabilize and they could stop sitting on gold, or Clinton/Gore would be out, whichever came first. To me, gold's suppression is a sign of how bad things really are. They seem petrified to let up even the hedgers.

I've frequently seen bashing in threads intensify when the shorts are trying to get out. Only 2 more weeks of the ESF in the Clinton team hands. I think many know they're screwed if the Bush team tells the truth and just exposes the whole thing to some badly needed sunlight & place the blame where it belongs, pronto. BTW I think Greenspan got suckered into creating the bubble as a diversion, but then there's somehow been a gun to Greenspan's head Clinton's whole second term to not let any air back out.

BTW, aren't you the unofficial thread monitor since Abner got disinterested?

regards,
Tom
