No, the fact that he was never at the Edison factory/museum near where we grew up was something that he was sorry about. Now that he lives near the one in Ft. Myers, it's my guess he has never been there either.

They closed the one up here for a few years back in the 1980s, I think it was. Seems all those years people were touring the plant you could reach out, grab a beaker or bottle, and swirl it around if you liked. There was never any real security about picking stuff up. The plant is on quite a bit of land, and it's very large. Thousands of things to mess around with.

So it seemed that some egghead decided to inventory the joint. They found several bottles of nitroglycerin. Enough to blow up the entire city block at least.

Whoops.

So they closed it to do a complete search, rather than have some inquisitive dope pick up the wrong bottle somewhere and ªpoofª.
