Hi Ken, In regards to BEAS,http://207.61.23.99/t/timely6html?z50=0&z51=1&fc=25&le=2&lg=2&fd=1&fb=ARBA&fa=BEAS&fe=60&cg=0&fh=2&fg=4&ff=4&fi=3&fj=5&fk=2&fl=8&fm=3&fn=50&fo=0&fp=0&fr=0&fs=0&fq=1&tsh=1&zz=SEND
(I wish timely used dates at the bottom of their screen)
The chart starts with thu,the 5 crosses above the 8 but is still BELOW the 50. No signal to go long. Long sig doesnt happen until sometime on fri. Next crossover of the 5/8 was tue morning. But, it was a short signal which could not be taken as it was ABOVE the 50ma. Wed morning we had a long signal. 5/8 crossed, and was above the 50! Eyeballing the chart at timely,( Which isnt to precise) looks like the trade may have gone 6 or 7 pnts in our favor. Next crossover came late thur, a short signal, but we couldnt take it until late fri ( maybe its early tue, i cant tell on timely )when both the 5/8 MA's came below the 50ma. Potential trade profit, soemwhere between 5 and 10$. On wed, there was another crossover up, but couldnt take the long sig, as both 5/8 are below the 50. in fact, it never did rise above the 50, so we take the next short sig which happened last thur, somewhere around 63 or so. trade is still open, with BEAS clsing @ 53 5/8 on friday.
What i like about the 3rd MA is, i stay with the main dominant trend. I want trades to have the percentages and the potential to be big winners in my favor. One thing i noticed, i do miss some good moves, that are not in the direction on the dominant trend as i am not using a pure reversal system. Which is fine, cause i got over 90 BTT-MAX stocks that i track, and a watchlist of 18 for this month. More then enough trading signals. I do know my initial stop rarely gets hit, and if it does, i want to be out of that stock anyways. Another plus, and the charts will prove this out if you look, is gaps usually move in your favor. I have no data to back up this observation, but its my belief based on experiance.
Hope this helps out, Regards, Knyyt
P.S> I give credit to TC turning me onto this method, and credit Becky, who gave me the idea to add the 3rd MA, and some book for my 3% stops! hehehe |
