flats, I really don't understand the problem here. California has a high demand for power. In fact, its supply of power is less than its demand for power. Why shouldn't they pay the market price for the power they import? If the problem were not on the demand side, then the dastardly deeds of the evil power traders would not have worked.

California foisted its rummy dot-com businesses on us at inflated prices. Now is the time that we ( the boring, old-economy remainder of the country) make them pay up for dull stuff like corn, meat, and power. -g-
