Where in N. VA? I spent about 6 months in Manassas (sp?) in '93.

Here in Silly, the housing prices are so high that what would be a middle-class income elsewhere can condemn you to poverty here. I'm in SUnnyvale right now. The median price for a house here is about 600K. That means if you actually can come up with 120K down (20%), you're still looking at payments of about $4800/month.

However, the coming recession should fix that. :-)
