Dan- I think the XBox is more than a game machine but the start of a class of consumer entertainment machines. With broadband access and complete control of the internals you can push a lot of more stuff down the line than a cable company can to their much dumber box. Games but also videos and MP3's. I can see month by month rental in addition to sending down a lot of free time limited stuff to try out. I doubt anyone will be able to find a way to unlock the disk so you'll only get something by paying Bill's price. It's sort of a direct connection to the consumer's credit card. Harvey
