yes, but what was the economic backdrop at the time? The reason we are in the mess we are now is because of the fed, the economy had nothing wrong with it at all till the fed played god. I see no similarities at all between 70's and now. here's more proof we at or near a bottom. time.com notice the headline, same words used at the top, take a look at the cover. That's said, I was calling for the market to go down no more then 20%, so 25% drop wouldn't surprise me, but six months from now, we will be higher. Greg
