Perhaps I can now be considered an apprentice since, honest to God I got booted off a board on the Motley Fool for trying to spread the word. I could not even talk them out of throwing more money down the sewer the very next day after the 350 point "surprise" rally.
Really I am serious. They took a poll an 3/4 of the people asked me to leave. I spent a lot of time and effort, hours literly, trying to explain why evalautions are still to high and why Financials are not a "safe haven". Actually 1/4 were very vocal about me staying but it simply was not worth it.
I was lurking there tonight. Excited as ever now that I left(I did a final post and wished them well). Tonight they are talking about "fat pipes" CIEN, RBAK, SCMR, JNPR etc etc etc. The value of LTBH, how 10,000 in CSCO 10 years ago would be worth $1M today or whatever. No one talks about the fact that $10,000 in AMZN at the right time went also went to $1M but is now is heading for worthlessness. The Motley Fool "Rule Breaker" portfolio did exactly that. Rode it up and all the way down and still holding. As for retuns: 10,000 in AMZN strike 130 leap PUTs bought at the right time this year would probably be worth $1M about now, in less than a year (Just guessing).
Oh well.
