Good Gawd that was a depressing read, Richnorth. Say, where are you ... Things are warming up over on the Bresea thread...they could use a good dose of realism over there<grin>

Your article concludes:
"What is far worse than any of these things, considered in isolation, is that few Americans see these corruptions as undermining the principles and institutions on which our freedoms depend.

The painful lessons of the 20th century remain unlearned.

Well, by God above and Quivering Sinners below...I'm one of those Americans who saw those corruptions as undermining...problem is being permitted, quite literally to mine anything in the first place.

CLINTON has just given 4 million acres of Oregon Forest Land back to the Indians as it were...if there ain't a road on it now, we ain't s'posta build one ever again.

Howcum we ain't talking about the Clinton Land Grab for our enemies on this thread...It ain't just logging going down the crapper...if the mining industry can't team up with logging to get Bush to undo the damage in the next 60 days, we're going to be stuck hiking into the forests of this great nation with tin cups instead of bulldozers looking for tin.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!
