One killer app that will certainly drive 3G is voice recognition. I'm not talking about the VR that's on my Samsung 8500 today, but a technology that will make typing on a cell phone obsolete. I doubt that many will surf the web on a handset the same way they do on a pc regardless of the data rates. They will however use services that could be activated by voice. These will be information request and delivery services, shopping, video clips on demand, audio downloads, bank/broker transactions, etc... All of these services will become much easier to use once VR becomes the user interface replacing the keypad. MicroE
