I invest in a stock because I believe in the company, in its product, its management, its profitability, its growth, its history and its future, yet I was penalized by Greenspan's attacks on the markets. On the other hand, those whom he targeted were those who benefited, the speculators and the gamblers. These same hypocrites then turn to us with their pompous attitude and tell us that we should blame ourselves for "investing" in bluechips.

What blue chips have you invested in? I am not talking about blue chips, however, since you mentioned them,

You say I invest in a stock because I believe in the company, in its product, its management, its profitability, its growth, its history and its future,

So what do you say to those people who bought(blue chip techs.) CSCO $70-$80? How about MSFT over $100? INTC, SUNW, etc....

The point is that investing is a great idea to help on one's retirement plans..... But at what price? And looking into the future than, I assume you saw this slow down and cashed in your chips? If not, Than you simply invested at the wrong time. Remember, timing is everything. Good companies, bad companies, what ever, if you have poor timing you will have poor results. Like planting tomatoes too late in the season, see my point?
