If one does not want an argument on a thread, just politely say so. Reasonable people will abide by such a request from the thread master. Unreasonable, argumentative people can be banned - but you were neither.

As far as JLA's banning "liberals", he only did that to demonstrate what they do to others. I think he should unban (look - a new word!) them, but that is JMO.
