The Washington Post business section for this AM (Sun, 7 Jan 01) lists NT among the "most widely held stocks in [US] mutual funds" as of 31 Dec 00. It was #12 -- 852 funds held it, and it represented 0.8% of their aggregate assets, but the # of NT shares held wasn't given. NT didn't make the list in 31 Mar 01 in which #s 8 through 12 (in descending order AIG, IBM, TI, Time Warner, & ExxonMobil) all were below 0.8%. The WashPost listed Morningstar, Lipper Inc., and ABN Amro as its sources.

Morningstar this AM (on its free pages) showed 997 institutional holders of NT as of 30 Nov 00 (494,750,000 or 35% of all 1,413,600,000 o/s with 540,690,000 or 38.2% "closely held" and the remaining 872,890,000 or 61.8% "float").

Regards,
Harry
