Well if that's true then how come everyone keeps saying CSCO is going to warn?

Perhaps a little rumor mongering by greedy shorts? I think companies are less prone to give such negative outlooks for '01 now that they know the Fed is easing aggressively. I believe if the Fed was slow or hadn't eased by now you would get some nasty talk about the end of '01.

I believe SUNW said they were comfortable with this current quarters numbers, I'm not so sure about next quarters. I am going on the thesis that everyone is selling ahead of earnings because they don't want to be in stocks when the news comes out. That tells me there will be no sellers left when the reports hit and the stocks will actually go up on bad news.

SUNW still has relatively easy comparisons for this quarter and next so I don't think they will be too negative.

Now CSCO on the other hand...man are they going to have some tough comparisons going forward.

Some PC companies like DELL are going to have easy comparisons six months from now because their business slid off a cliff in the last 6 months.
