A Random Walk Down Wall Street
by Burton Gordon Malkiel
The revised seventh edition.

Still a classic for its discussion on bubbles and speculations in the markets. Theme is that the index funds are the way to go for most investors.

Author is dead on with assessment of the internet bubble.

This book has its detractors with the index fund is better than the actively manged portfolio, but for most of the 1990's most managers could not beat the index consistently each year.

Another focus is that the quality stock held long term will be better than trading in and out for profits.
