tommysdad,

I figured ABSC would become less tricklish in a few years. If the users of their UHTSS bring something to market that they discovered with that system, ABSC gets a little piece of the action. Further, their plan was to have the first operating UHTSS be their own. While BMY's was cranked up a week or two ago, ABSC's own system was operational last quarter. So they could already have done something like 10 million assays. Let's hope they found something good. And that the stock has a decent run before it gets so non-tricklish I have to sell it.

Say, you may have missed a question I tried to ask you, in the hope that you were following. But it wasn't posted directly to you. To whit: you have said nice things about Waters' equipment, and I just saw a truckload of brand new Waters' equipment during my recent lab visit. Why do you like their stuff versus that of their competitors?

Anyhow, thanks for the heads up. You seem pretty aware of the San Diego scene. Do you live here? We could have a beer at Karl Strauss and raise a toast to Rick & Company.

This Thursday, I'm going to see if I can hit one of those free seminars: "FTICR Mass Spectrometry for the Analysis of Metal Interactions with Proteins." At Scripps. Wonder what per centage of the words I hear there I will understand.

Cheers, Tuck
