I composed a nice long response last night but the SI enhancements not only made it impossible to post, the whole site disappeared.

Let's just say that we are not yet in agreement on terms. I don't think something must be beautiful to be art.

I also do not think that the artist's intentions has any relevance.

I am certain that the Sex Pistols had anything but positive intentions, yet they influenced culture greatly and in a positive way (IMO). Hell, it gave me a reason to never listen to "Cold as Ice" by Foreigner again. No way can you interpret that as anything but a positive influence on culture.
