because something doesn't sound right Mark You're on point,something is wrong.When I do my weekly Sat.morning maintenance I disable Virtual memory,reboot, then kill everything with EnditAll and defrag.I've never had a stoppage on the defrag program and it takes about 15 minutes tops. Has Skeeter checked to see if a screensaver or virus program is trying to activate or an open mail program trying to download incoming mail from the server? Ed
