Yes, great points about Hillary and Martha. I can tell you for sure that neither of these women is a closet lesbian and they're better put-together than most American women. I think what I find most incomprehensible about that kind of talk is that, oftentimes, it's perpetuated by other women. That kind of narrowminded jealousy pushes women back farther than a month of Martha's bread making.

I've always considered myself a feminist. I came of age in the seventies when it was cool to do so. It was harder in the eighties when the backlash came, but to me, you are what you are, regardless of the current political climate. I think being a female feminist (and there are male feminists, thank goodness) is a wonderful complement to my femininity. I love to cook, keep a beautiful house and tend my garden. These are complex skills worthy of honor, in my opinion.
