> I just wonder what the rational would be for Becky to want to hold off on the numbers, unless they are not good?
the rational is clear, obvious, and correct. the more information that becky discloses in announcements costs her negotiation power with other companies for other countries. negotiation wise, she has nothing to gain and everything to lose by showing her hand.
the real deal will be when earnings are announced for june, and we see how much pennsaid was sold, and how much profit was made.
of the 100s of companys that participate at my wife's annual nursing home conference, including merck, pfizer, glaxo, johnson...provalis is not one of them. she had never even heard of them. so dimethaid scored a big gooseegg for picking a 'well known robust' partner.
nonetheless, dimethaid was negotiating with a bunch of different companies for england, and so provalis must have given them the best deal. hopefully the pennsaid data will sell itself. and hopefully the next partner(s) chosen for italy/germany/france/sweeden/switzerland will include a heavy hitter.
in the meantime we have a buying opportunity. i have no idea if it will last just today or for 3 months. |
