By the time the next upgrade cycle comes around, and if Corel users do decide to go back to MS as you suggest, COSFF may have already had an upward run, in which case the stock is also going to be elastic
based on short-term revenue improvement.
Might as well ride it up if the opportunity presents itself.


You said it for me. I think Corel has some hidden value that will become more obvious when either (a) they convert to US GAAP, or (b) they finish amortizing. When that happens, there may be some new developments which make it worth continuing to follow the stock - like Java Office, or Microsoft shooting itself in the foot.
