You are missing the BIG picture.

How much money was pumped into the economy in 1999?

What enabled the Naz to get to 5000?

Which companies had appropriate values last March?

Which companies came no where near to earning the values they attained last spring? Why?

Why did the Fed increase rates?

Why did the Fed wait too long to decrease rates?

What is the reality of the health of the economy?

What is the perception of the health of the economy?

What is the relationship between reality and perception? Can you read the curve?

10 years ago someone criticized me for something I'd said. I saved the letter because it helps me keep things in perspective:

Like all mediocrity (expressed always by a consummate amateurism) the guide is always the assumption of being instructive. And always, when never asked or implied. What is "impressive" too, regarding your small time self, is the inflation of your microscopic credential, which of course, is harvested from conditioned reflexes of wishful thinking.

May I humbly suggest you open your eyes? Your opinion is not bearing fruition. The sky is not falling. Look for a consensus. There are clearing others who think the way you do. There are many who disagree.

The market is presently reflecting the diversity of those thoughts.

Look at the larger picture. Extrapolate from the array of opinions. Not just the negative. Not just the narrow minded.

Come. Let us cultivate our gardens.
