metacrawler is a top 10 internet essential according to this yahoo article zdnet.com yet the powers that be are using dogpile as the search engine of choice over at infospace homepage....why? because they can make more money doing that since they don't pay royalties to netbolt to use dogpile like they have to do with metacrawler and also they get extra dineros from goto which is prominently displayed in dogpile search.......so it goes.....most of what you see on infospace homepage probably has some reason for being there relating to money or business politics......and remember infospace is not in the business of being a portal but rather supplying stuff to other sites so they may be in part not be trying overly hard to compete with their real customers...so in part their homepage may suck to some extent by design so to speak
