I believe that wireless has a place in the communications infrastructure. But I do think that it is limited. But in an ideal world, I would love to see a wire-less world. I would love to get rid of the eyesores hanging from poles and if you think about the cost benefit of not having to hang wires on poles or put them under streets, it is a compelling benefit. But my rudimentary knowledge of the physics involved with wireless communications says that it falls short as a replacement for wireline. But considering the benefits, I would love to hear the arguments to support it.
