Qwest's Nacchio comments on VDSL/NXTV on employee CC(?!) from theofleury_1999 on Yahoo: messages.yahoo.com "Then at the beginning of the question & answer period (roughly about 90 minutes into recording), he is asked directly about VDSL, and he has nothing but positive remarks: "We have made great, great progress with our latest trial installs in Highland Ranch (Denver), and we are currently expanding in Phoenix. Our key supplier Next Level Communications has met, and in fact EXCEEDED our cost requirements! I've just spoken this morning with J.Galvin (CEO of Motorola) about VDSL as well. I believe that THIS IS THE YEAR FOR VDSL!" Assuming this is legit, the big question then is how long will it be before Q decides "enough with the trial, start rolling the trucks!"? March? June? December? RP
